What is Hygge?
As seasons change and temperatures cool, we’re getting in the mood to change inside our homes as well! Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish concept – it could be enjoying the simple everyday cup of tea. Wrapping up in a blanket with a friend to watch a movie. Dimming the lights at home and replacing them with candles (candles are always involved when it comes to Hygge) or just sitting down to a family meal and savoring it. We like to add elements from nature, like fresh flowers, to help create that peaceful cozy feeling.
How to Use Flowers in Hygge Decor
1. Choose soft or pastel colors like green, pink, yellow, and peach to add a warm pop of color. We’re currently loving pastel arrangements like Oh So Fabulous, Chic Antique and Warm Sunshine.
2. Keep it simple! Single color flower arrangements, especially in white and be a great contrast to changing colors outside. We like Royalty and Pure Elegance for a simple, but elegant touch.
3. Last, but definitely not least, Roses! Any hue of rose can be a great addition to decor any time of year. Our 24K Gold roses and What a Girl Needs are two of our favorites.
